Our Philosophy:

The work of the Center for Puerto Rico Equality & Advancement (CPREA) is guided by the following core convictions:

Empowerment: For our fellow American citizens in Puerto Rico, that they may support and share in the promise of America guaranteed to all citizens by the United States Constitution. To make available to Puerto Rico opportunities to share in the prosperity enjoyed by the nation as a whole; inclusive of economic growth, political stability, individual and collective development and individual and collective security in the brotherhood of the states. Insofar as statehood will benefit Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans, it naturally follows that the Nation will also benefit.

Policy: As a think tank, we will foster multi-sectorial analysis of - and dialogue about – the varied factors, which impact the political, economic, and social well-being of Puerto Rico and its 4 million U.S. citizens, with a view towards achieving optimal solutions for both the island and the Nation as a whole.

Collaboration: We are committed to working with sister organizations that share common interests and goals. The Center will also work to promote regional efforts that complement its national initiatives.
